Artists Statement

The twisty firefly sculpture series creates a warm welcome for visitors to the revamped Olivedale Corner precinct, Johannesburg. This nocturnal friendly artwork with its organic lines compliment nature in a suburban setting. The warm LED lights illuminating the fireflies points down to the ground, minimising ambient light pollution. As we enter an era of environmental awareness, we should consider nature in every decision we make.
